Indicative Ranges From Published Listings

Foreign-used 3 ton forklift: about ₦6.8 million to ₦7.2 million
Foreign-used 5 ton forklift: about ₦8.5 million to ₦22 million
Brand-new 3 ton forklift: about ₦35 million to ₦45 million in the listings we found
Brand-new 5 ton forklift: about ₦18 million to ₦57 million

Why the Ranges Are So Wide

Brand and model year change the price within one capacity class
Mast height, side-shift and attachments add cost
Fuel type changes the price: diesel, LPG and electric trucks are priced differently
Hours, condition and service history matter for used units
Listings on marketplaces mix dealers and private sellers, so quality varies widely

How to Compare Quotes

Compare lift capacity at your required lift height, not just the nameplate
Ask for the hour meter reading and a short working test on used units
Check that the price includes delivery and whether a warranty applies
Ask for the data plate and compare it with the documents

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the range for a 5 ton forklift so wide?

Brand, age, mast height, fuel type and condition all move the price, and listings mix new and used units.

Where are forklifts usually listed in Nigeria?

Marketplaces such as Jiji, Opor and Ong carry many listings from dealers and individuals. A dealer quote against a specification is easier to compare.
